We are excited to announce the 2018 Advocate Distance Challenge! Run any three races with Advocate and you will earn the Advocate Distance Challenge medal.
Step 1: Register for any two of the following races through the Advocate Health Care charity running team:
- Advocate Health Care Fox Valley Marathon, Half Marathon and Fall Final 20
- Advocate Health Care International Chicago 5K
Step 2: Fundraise a minimum of $750 total between the two races you are running on behalf of the Advocate charity running team.
Step 3: Be an official finisher of each race chosen (Advocate Health Care will confirm completion).
NOTE: If you choose to run one of the Advocate sponsored races, but will not run as a part of the charity running team, please email email@example.com to make sure you receive credit for the race.
How do I register for the Advocate Distance Challenge?
While registering for the Bank of America Shamrock Shuffle 8K, Advocate Health Care Fox Valley Marathon, Half Marathon and Fall Final 20, the Advocate Health Care International Chicago 5K or the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, check the box indicating you are signing up for the challenge and specify the two races you are running with the charity running team.
If you choose to run one of the Advocate sponsored races, but will not run as a part of the charity running team, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to make sure you receive credit for the race.
Is there a cost to register for the Advocate Challenge?
No, there is no extra cost to participate in the Advocate Distance Challenge. This is our gift to you for being an incredible supporter of Advocate Health Care!
How do I complete the fundraising
You will need to use the fundraising pages provided for each race and have raised a minimum of $750 combined total for the two races.

for completing the Advocate Distance

What if I don’t finish one of the races?
You must be an official finisher of each race in order to qualify for the challenge. Official finisher status is based on online published results that will be verified by Advocate Health Care staff.
When and where do I get my medal?
All medals will be awarded on Marathon weekend. For those running the Chicago Marathon, you will receive your medal at the Advocate charity running team tent following your finish.
For those not running the Chicago Marathon, you can pick up your medal at the Advocate cheer station at North and Wells. Come by to take photos, cheer our runners and celebrate!
