Angela endured treatment for leukemia for two and a half years. She was hesitant to celebrate the end of chemotherapy because many of her family members live in Mexico. Mary Butler, child life specialist, found a way to bring everyone together virtually to mark the momentous occasion.

After four years, Maddie is finally finished with cancer treatment. The support of donors made parts of her journey more bearable and sometimes even fun. Now she’s focused on more important things: playing with her big sister and getting back to gymnastics.
Breanna suffered a traumatic brain injury in July 2020 and underwent a risky surgery to save her life. After a long road to recovery that included an innovative rehabilitation program that’s supported by philanthropy, she’s on her feet again and getting back to her old life.
