Haley Schwartz (bottom right) has a heart condition that causes dizziness and fainting. Her symptoms became so severe that she had to drop out of high school. She was stressed and worried about her future, but thanks to pediatric cardiologist Dr. David Thoele, she found a tool that’s helping her stay positive: narrative medicine. And today, she’s feeling well and following her dreams.

| Pizza and a purpose |

A special thank you to Aurelio’s Pizza whose Virtual Pizza Party on May 15th benefited the Advocate Aurora Health Team Member Crisis Fund. The event, which featured a variety of Chicago celebrities, raised thousands to support those impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. In addition, Aurelio’s has donated meals for more than 10,000 health care workers across Chicagoland during the pandemic.
